KOH OKNHA TEI
About Koh Oknha Tei
Koh Oknha Tei, also known as Silk Island is a small island located on the Mekong River of Cambodia with a population of around 5,958 (according to 2019 data) Weaving silk is one of the main source of income for Chong Koh villagers.
On Koh Oknha Tei Island, public schools do not offer any English curriculum. Although there is a small English academy available, access to English education is highly restricted for financially struggling families. Most families depend on agriculture for their livelihood on Koh Oknha Tei, which limits their ability to afford such resources. Thus, we are currently running an English Camp this November here in Koh OknhaTei.
